From There to Here

I'm not quite sure how so much time could have gone by! While I have been by to visit my dear friends, my own little blog has been completely neglected. I have also tried to keep in touch via Facebook when possible. So when this morning found me with a few minutes to catch up, I thought it would be a good time to try and update just a bit.
Shortly after my last post, I became a full time Mamaw, as my dear girl was able to go back to work full time. It was only a short time later that our house filled up to capacity when our youngest girl moved home with her two little ones.

My mother-in-law passed away unexpectedly in January. While we did not share a close relationship, it was hard to say good-bye.

The first half of 2010 flew away, as my Honey and I made the decision to expand our nest...we began work on our new house in early spring. We have just completed work on our home next to the orchard, and are still knee deep in moving boxes!! Oh my....I had completely forgotten how much I hate moving! But it will be so worthwhile in the end.

I have enjoyed catching up with blog friends this morning--but there are boxes that need to be emptied and I must be going.
Blessings,
Pam

Oh, Pam- it is sooo good to hear from you again! Whew- you have been one busy lady... did I understand right- you and your Hubby built a new house? Wow- I know how time consuming that is! (I hope maybe you'll share some pictures sometime- I would love to see it!)
Sorry to hear about your Mother-in-law...
Hope you all are staying cool- this has been one more hot summer, hasn't it?
Take care, (and don't work too hard!)

Your pictures are so beautiful! I love the country life. We have always wanted a piece of country. So much so we have 10 chickens and long to have sheepies and the actual space to inhabit such, lol.

Thank you so much for stopping by and saying such kind words. I hope you have a great day!!

Hi, Miss Pam!
I'm so happy that you're back! It does make one feel guilty when we disappear - doesn't it? I know - firsthand. I also understand, much better - unfortuneatly - how easily it happens.
I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your mother-in-law. I understand your sadness, about that, as well. My mother-in-law and I were not close, either... although I tried for years. You just cannot force love - but when she passed - I hurt so much, for my husband, for my children (who neither had a close relationship with her), for all that she missed in ever knowing how wonderful her son and grandchildren were and how eager we all were to share our love with her.... oh, I'm sorry - I'm rambling on as usual.

But how wonderful that you've been able to become a full-time mamaw! You know that I'm just green with envy, here! I'm so happy for you but possibly even more happy for those sweet grandbabies of yours!
Having not had grandmothers myself and my children have also been neglected.... I know how wonderful it is for your own to have you - so INCREDIBLY blessed to have YOU, sweet Miss Pam, as their grandmother! I'm just so happy for y'all!!!!!!

More happy news! You've built a new home! How incredibly exciting! A new home, near your orchard, to make all new happy memories in! Bless your heart with that moving, though. Ick! That surely must be the only downfall, here, and especially with all this heat! You'll be through, soon, though and will be in that new kitchen (with those grandbabies!) baking in the wonderful, cool fall weather.... then Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!!!!

I'm gonna let you get back to unpacking... maybe you're opening that last box as I type this...?!?!

Many Blessings,
Julie
